Community Proposals
Governance actions in Pi Protocol follow the Pi Improvement Proposal (PIP) process.
A PIP is a formal submission that proposes a specific change or upgrade to the protocol. This includes:
- Adding a new vault or asset class
- Adjusting fee percentages or emissions
- Changing whitelist access
- Allocating treasury funds
- Upgrading a smart contract
PIP Lifecycle:
- Drafting: A USPi holder writes and submits a PIP, outlining the change, rationale, and impact.
- Review: The PIP is reviewed by the community, optionally discussed on forums or Discord.
- Voting: The PIP enters a formal vote where USPi/sUSPi holders can vote “Yes” or “No”.
- Execution: If passed, the proposal is executed on-chain without intermediaries.
This process ensures that every meaningful protocol change is community-driven, well-documented, and governed transparently.
